Just got back from a day in Peterborough at the old cottage...........I'd forgotten how beautiful the view is looking west over the lake. It sure brought back a lot of memories of the place where our kids enjoyed their summer holidays and weekends. I just submitted the request today for a demolition permit to demolish the old place.......our son Steve is going to build a new cottage on the site, so we won't have the old place any more, but all the memories will be intact. It was the one place that was permanent amongst our many moves !

Hi Harvey.  I know how you feel. As you may know, we sold our cottages at Prairie Bee many years ago and I remember the loss as we let go of a place that we had all come to to work, play and where we had built many memories with family and with clients who had become close friends. At least the location will stay in the family and many new memories will be shared at your son Steve's place.

You're absolutely right Brian, the memories will always be with us and the new ones are about to begin. I remember when you folks sold Prairie B, as I too have memories of some good times spent there. It will be an interesting project that Steve and I will go through together, as I expect he's planning on using the experience I've gained through building our home on the lake in Haliburton.
